Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Production Costing
  • Calculate per unit production cost (raw material, labor, power, overhead).
  • Monitor consumption of RM and packing material vs standard.
  • Check yield, wastage and variance. 
2. Inventory Control & Valuation
  • Reconcile physical stock with system stock.
  • Verify GRN, material issue, and stock transfers.
  • Ensure proper valuation of RM, WIP, and Finished Goods.
3. BOM & Standard Costing
  • Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Review standard cost vs actual cost.
  • Highlight variances to plant head and management.
4. Purchase & Rate Analysis
  • Analyze RM purchase rates and impact on final product cost.
  • Work closely with purchase team for cost negotiations.
  • Prepare cost comparison sheets.
5. Monthly Closing & Reporting
  • Prepare cost sheets product-wise.
  • Assist in monthly MIS, margin analysis, and profitability reports.
  • Support finance team in stock valuation and audit workings.
6. Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Support preparation of production budget.
  • Monitor actual vs budgeted expenses.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities.
7. Compliance & Audit Support
  • Provide data for statutory audit and internal audit.
  • Ensure costing records are maintained as per standards.
  • Maintain documentation for GST, inventory and valuation purposes.
8. Coordination
  • Daily coordination with Production, Stores, Purchase and Finance.
  • Support management with data for pricing decisions.

Qualifications & Key Skills:

  • CMA (ICWA) Qualified or Semi-Qualified preferred.
  • M.Com with strong manufacturing costing exposure can be considered.
  • 5–12 years’ experience in rice mill / food processing / FMCG manufacturing setup.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP (MM, PP, CO modules preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, MIS reporting).
